As Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Development, David oversees the full cycle of each project from acquisition through completion of construction. Post-construction, David works closely with the asset management teams to ensure the ongoing operational success of each property. David manages relationships with key stakeholders including clients, partners, and investors and is responsible for leading business development initiatives including property acquisitions, deal structuring, partnership development and the continued diversified growth of Knightstone’s real estate portfolio.

As a member of the Knightstone team for over 10 years, David has successfully led the development and ongoing operation of multiple projects across various real-estate asset classes including, academic and student residence facilities, hospitality and resorts, purpose-built rental, condominiums and retail. With a diverse background in financial underwriting, design, construction and asset management, David plays a pivotal role in driving Knightstone’s organizational vision and operating strategy.

Prior to joining Knightstone, David held a senior role as Vice President of Livia Capital Management – a Toronto based strategic advisory and asset management firm focused on the real estate, hospitality and private equity markets for high-net-worth investors and entrepreneurial corporations. In this role, David was actively involved in a wide range of real estate developments and transactions in Canada and the United States.

David holds an undergraduate degree from McGill University.
